Alrihkh This is how I like my hard and heavy rock/metal! These guys must be the offspring of Black Sabbath and Blue Öyster Cult. There’s plenty to love here: heavy riffing, imaginative lyrics, anthemic choruses, and good down~to~earth, catchy and creative (but not overly complicated), old~school heaviness. Great work, Space Metal! To all others, proffer alms without any qualms! Hope the wait for more isn’t too long! 9/10.
My faves? Forest of Faith, followed by Shroud. Favorite track: Forest of Faith.

Be forewarned... SpaceMetal returns, another cosmic voyage across space-time complete, but on this landing, as their battered vessel drifts into port, it blots out the warmth of the sun, a shadowy omen for the chill tidings they bring.

Where once were observed visions of the fantastic and glimpses of the mind-bending, we now hear troubling whispers of encroaching death and decay. Man, woman and child, none are spared the cold hand of the Reaper, and one is left to wonder which is worse, the momentary flash spent on this earthly plane, or what may be in store for those beyond...

In an act of existential succor, the intrepid men of SpaceMetal, relayers of these chronicles of mortality, once again drench their epic sagas in planet-realigning riffage, orbit-altering grooves, and vocals that howl in the face of the abyss, offering defiant hope of staving off Death himself - for a time.

So sit back... the telling is at hand - if indeed these five galactic wayfarers yet draw breath within their ship. Behold a selection of SpaceMetal’s stygian verses to occupy the restless consciousness during our ephemeral moment in the sun. OMG, late to the party but this is some of the best occult infused doom stoner tackle I've ever heard. Reference points include Sabbath (obvs), especially with the Ozzy-esque vocals but there's also the melodiousness of early Heep mixing with a more contemporary occult rock sound. It starts in the 70's and makes it to the present day. The riffs are huge but it's their way with a hook that elevates this from your average doom/stoner fare. Very wonderful indeed! egg-magoo

To me this is like 70ies Heavy Metal in nearly all aspects. I can understand the comparisons to Motörhead but to me they don’t really sound like them, except maybe for the Heavy Blue style lead breaks. What they do have is the drive, gravelly vocals and swagger of Motörhead. This they have that in buckets. Super fun Heavy Metal/Hard Rock that just doesn’t age. Harry Harrison
